‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ Star Tim Curry Dies at 80 Inside His Los Angeles Home

Legendary actor Tim Curry—famous for his roles in "It," "Rocky Horror Picture Show," and "Home Alone 2"—has passed away at the age of 80, 14 years after suffering a serious stroke that saw him confined to a wheelchair.

The British-born star is reported to have passed away inside his Los Angeles home, according to TMZ, which was the first outlet to reveal the news.

Police sources told the outlet that officers responded to Curry's California property at around 11:23 PM local time on Aug. 25—and that there is no foul play suspected in the case.

Curry, who began his acting career on the stage in London, was shot to global fame after he starred as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 hit "Rocky Horror Picture Show," a part that earned him critical acclaim and solidified his status as a major Hollywood player.

However, he did not officially relocate to Los Angeles until 1988, according to reports, five years before he purchased a historic Los Feliz home that he spent years restoring to its original glory.
